Can I Hire Movers to Load and Unload my Truck in Bronx, New York? How much should I pay a day laborer for moving? The standard rate for a day laborer seemed to be between $10/hour and $12/hour. Moving companies would pay them $10/hr for a full 8-hour workday. If someone were to hire a day laborer, to NOT be a completely terrible person it'd be common courtesy to give them water.
